Terms and Conditions of Sale
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “Terms”) govern all online sales made on the website Candles of Provence (hereinafter “the Website”), operated by Candles of Provence – Khouri, registered in France under the SIRET number 518 555 602 000 78 (hereinafter “the Seller”).
By placing an order, the customer (hereinafter “the Client”) acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.

ARTICLE 2 – Legal Notice and Access
This Website is accessible to all users who comply with the applicable laws in their country of connection. Clients must be of legal age and possess a valid payment method. Access and use of the Website are the sole responsibility of the user.
ARTICLE 3 – Ordering Process
To place an order, the Client selects products, customizes them if applicable, and adds them to the shopping cart. After verifying the order summary (quantities, prices, shipping fees), the Client validates the order and proceeds to payment. An order confirmation email summarizing the transaction will be sent. The Seller reserves the right to refuse any order for legitimate reasons (payment issues, incomplete information, prior disputes).
ARTICLE 4 – Prices
Prices are expressed in euros (€), inclusive of all taxes (TTC). Shipping fees are added at checkout according to destination, weight, and carrier. The Seller may modify prices at any time without affecting previously validated orders.
ARTICLE 5 – Promotions and Discount Codes
Discounts, promotional codes, or sales may be offered occasionally. These offers are subject to specific conditions (validity period, minimum purchase, stock availability) and cannot be combined unless stated otherwise. Discount codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively. The Seller may modify or cancel an offer at any time without prior notice.
ARTICLE 6 – Payment
Payments are made via secure platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, or credit/debit card. Payment information is encrypted and never stored on the Website. Orders paid by bank transfer are processed after the payment is received.
ARTICLE 7 – Production and Personalization
All products from Candles of Provence are handcrafted and made to order. Clients are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any personalization details (text, names, dates, colors, fragrance choices, etc.). Once validated and paid, the order cannot be modified.
ARTICLE 8 – Delivery
Shipments are handled via Colissimo (La Poste) or equivalent services. A tracking number is provided upon dispatch. Average delivery time in France: 2–5 business days (after production).
International delivery times: average delivery to the United Kingdom / Europe is 5–10 business days, and to the United States Canada 8–15 business days after shipment, depending on carrier operations and customs clearance. These times are estimates and may vary due to seasonal peaks or customs delays. The Seller is not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused by the carrier.
Clients must ensure that the delivery address provided is accurate and complete. If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the Client shall bear the reshipping costs. Customs fees or import taxes, if any, are the Client’s responsibility.
ARTICLE 9 – Right of Withdrawal (14 Days) and Returns
Non-personalized items: In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the Client has 14 days from the date of receipt to withdraw from the purchase without providing a reason.
Personalized or custom-made items: No withdrawal right applies to items made to order or clearly customized (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
Withdrawal procedure (for non-personalized products)
- Notify withdrawal within 14 days via the contact form. A confirmation and return address will be provided.
- Return the goods unused, complete, undamaged, and in their original packaging within 14 days after notification.
- Return shipping costs are borne by the Client unless the product is defective or sent in error.
Refund
Refunds (including initial standard shipping costs) will be processed within 14 days of withdrawal notice, and may be delayed until receipt of the returned items or proof of dispatch.

Additional exclusions: Items unsealed after delivery and unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons will not be refunded.
ARTICLE 10 – Responsibility
The Seller cannot be held liable for misuse of products, force majeure events, or disruptions caused by external service providers (carriers, payment platforms, affiliates). Product photos are non-contractual; minor variations due to artisanal production are normal.
ARTICLE 11 – Confidentiality Commitment
Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Clients may exercise their data rights (access, correction, deletion, opposition, etc.) through the contact form. No public phone number or email address is published; all communications are handled via the secure contact form.
ARTICLE 12 – Intellectual Property
All Website content (texts, photos, logos, product designs) is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Any reproduction or distribution, in whole or in part, without prior written consent is prohibited.
ARTICLE 13 – Content
All content published by the Seller complies with applicable laws and contains no unlawful or misleading material. Users agree to report any content they deem inappropriate.
ARTICLE 14 – Advertising and Affiliate Links
This Website may display advertisements via Google AdSense and affiliate links through Etsy, Awin, or Amazon. These programs may generate a commission for the Seller at no additional cost to the user. Third-party websites have their own terms, privacy, and cookie policies for which the Seller assumes no responsibility.
ARTICLE 15 – Disputes and Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the Client must first seek an amicable resolution via the contact form. If unresolved, competent French courts shall have jurisdiction. Consumers may request free mediation in accordance with French consumer protection laws.
Additional information
- Product photos: The Seller may photograph completed custom creations (candles, pouches, gifts) for display on websites, blogs, or social networks. No personal or identifiable data (names, addresses, faces) is ever published without consent. Clients may request removal of a photo at any time via the contact form.
- Average production time: 3–15 business days before shipment.
- Shipping: Tracked delivery via Colissimo; tracking number provided after dispatch.
